Keeping My Inflamation Down and Immunity Up

I have been making Tumeric and Ginger shots to help boost me during the quarantine. Each morning I drink about an ounce to start my day. Here is my recipe.

4 c. water
13 Tbsp. of grated ginger
4 Tbsp. of grated fresh turmeric
2 tsp. of black pepper
2 lemons juiced
2 Tbsp. Honey

Boil the water and add ginger, turmeric, and pepper. Simmer for 20-30 minutes.
Stir in honey and lemon juice. Refrigerate and drink cold.

Clean Out Your Closet

Being stuck in your house allows ample time to clean. One great place to start is your closet or the kids.  ThredUp allows me to sell my second hand clothes online. It so easy.  You can order bags from them online. They will send them in the mail with return postage. Once you fill them send them back and start making money. You can cash out or use the earning towards purchase on clothes. I just received two bags and can't wait to make room in my closet for some new comfy house clothes.

Georgia Aquarium

The Georgia Aquarium is currently closed, but they have webcams. Log in to see the Sea Lions, jellyfish, barrier reef, and much more. I enjoy the jellyfish. Watching them is very peaceful.

Check out the U.S. National Parks at Home

Although, hiking through a national park would be lovely right now. Many don't have the option of during it today. Google is giving us VR and 360-degree videos.  You can now immerse yourself in virtual environments that give you a real sense of what a place is like, without actually being there.

The Expedition app has over 900 VR places to explore. The National Parks are just a few of the places you can go. This will be hours of fun!

Mo Willems Doodles

This is a fun lunch break for any age.

Every day at 1 pm ET, the Kennedy Center’s official YouTube account will post a new lesson centering on Willems’ beloved characters.

In the video description, Willems’ writes, Grab some paper and pencils, pens, or crayons.  We are going to doodle together and explore ways of writing and making. If you have questions for me, send them to LUNCHDOODLES@kennedy-center.org and I might get to answer them. You might be isolated, but you’re not alone. You are an art maker. Let’s make some together.”

Social Distancing will be interesting over the next few days and weeks. I'll be adding online activities for you and your children to keep busy.

Town and Country published a list of cultural experiences you can have from your couch. Everything from museum tours to IV League classes.

We will need to think of things to keep us busy. Please share the things you are enjoying at home with your family.
